Bank Robbery Suspect Shot to Death in Joliet

Police say Glenn A. Rodgers, who just two weeks ago was arrested for TCF bank robberies in Stickney and Glendale Heights, was living in Joliet with his brother.

A Cicero man who's a suspect in two suburban bank robberies this summer was found murdered in his brother's home Wednesday afternoon.

Joliet police believe Glenn A. Rodgers, 43, may have been targeted in the shooting because there was no sign of robbery or forced entry to the 1301 Boston Ave. house, where he's been staying since being arrested on a federal charge of bank robbery on Aug. 13, a story in the Joliet Herald-News said.

His body was discovered at abour 4 p.m., when his brother returned home from work, the story said.

Rodgers is believed to have robbed two TCF banks, one in Stickney on June 11 and the other in Glendale Heights on July 27, according to FBI records.

got to love how the story just ends in what seems like the middle of it. I think Joe should write all the stories.
