Why Care About the Wrongly Convicted

It is said that only 1% of people in prison are wrongly convicted.

Lets, say that is correct.  That means the America has 25,000 people in prison for a crime they did not commit.

The other side of that, though, is that there are at least 25,000 criminals who got away with a crime they did commit.

For each and every person wrongly convicted, there is at least one criminal who walks free.  Ever wonder how many more crimes the REAL criminal might commit?
