Communication

Communication: the act or process of using words, sounds, signs, or behaviors to express or exchange information or to express your ideas, thoughts, feelings, etc., to someone else.

When dealing with people we must communicate. Communication isn't just verbal, your silence can be just as effective. So no matter what you do you are still communicating in some form. The problem I see on these open forums is when communicating it can be very controversial. You may say one thing and depending on how someone else interprets it it can cause an uproar. Then there are some that say things without being direct about it. It may have undertones of what they mean but they won't come out and say what they really mean. It's like beating around the bush. They do this because they don't have the courage to say what they really want to say because of the fear of backlash. We all speak differently sometimes due to cultural differences. That's another topic for another day. When we choose to communicate effectively it can be beneficial. When we choose to communicate recklessly we cause damage. No matter how we choose to communicate we are still saying something. It's our choice how we do it. You may have the  "right" to say something but you don't have to say it. Especially if it wounds someone else. As adults we should be more careful as to how we communicate.
