American Heroes

A lot of Children grow up wanting to be like the famous American heroes. Some actually try to be like them.  Of course most of them do end up in a jail cell or an early grave.

Why is  Al Capone, Bugs Moran, Don Carlo Gambino, Bugsy Siegel,   Anthony Accardo, Meyer Lansky and of host of others are folk hero in America?

Does America think that, if you wear sweatshirt, jeans and athlete shoes and kill you are a thug, but if you kill twice  as many as long as you are white and wear a suite and tie, then you are an American Hero?
