I always felt that the Joliet Armory would be THE natural place for the long awaited 3rd Airport. 1) Just look at a map of Chicagoland. Joliet is central, to the southern spoke out of Chicago. 2) The land is already owned by the Government. No farmers will have to be displaced. 3) I55 and Rt 80 are a stones throw away. 4) BNSF Elwood Rail yard is already there. 5) Economic forces have built Warehouses here for a reason. (it's the best spot for them) 6) Infrastructure is already in place. Roads, Railroads, Commonwealth Edison Power. All of that will have to be built in the corn fields of Peotone. 7) Casino revenue has fallen. Joliet needs a Real Tax Base, and Real Industry again. Mike X
