Ronald “Robert” Shoemaker

Age 56. Born in Joliet to Ollie and Lessie Mae Shoemaker. He passed away peacefully on September 1, 2013. Robert was a devoted family man, hard worker and friend. He worked several years at Interstate Warehouse and most recently for the City of Chicago Tow Yard.

Preceded in death by parents; fiancée, Valerie Morris; brothers Skylar and Clifton Shoemaker; nephews Scott and Davonte Shoemaker, Melvin Ellis Jr.

Survived by children, Ronald Morris, Nicole and Tasha Morris; five granddaughters; seven grandsons; one great-granddaughter; siblings, Woody (Vanessa), Kenneth, Christopher, and Bryant, Diane, Debra (Albert) Dorris and Carlotta; special cousins Andrew Shoemaker and Wayne McCann; lifelong friend Tony Parnell; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation Saturday, September 7, 2013 10:00-11:00AM at St. John M.B. Church, 104 E. Zarley Blvd., Joliet, IL. Service at 11:00AM, Pastor Herbert Brooks, Jr., officiating.
