Preceded in death by her parents.
Survived by children Darlene April of Joliet, IL, Andre Sr. (Gabriele) of Columbia, South Carolina, and Jada April-Brown (Everett) of South Holland, IL; seven grandchildren; Jonathan (Deon) Banks and Kayla Green of Joliet, IL, Andre April, Jr. of Frederick, MD, Andrew April of Orlando, FL, Justice April and Jasmine April of Columbia, SC and Briana Payton, brothers; James Phillip (Barbara) Carter, Fitzgerald Carter, and George Justice of Chicago, IL, sisters; Marva Carter and Rosetta Whitfield of St. Louis, MO, brothers-in-law; A.J. (Ann) April of Markham, IL, Larry, Robert and Ricky Reed of Memphis, TN, and Robert Reed of Atlanta, GA, sisters-in-law; Gertrude (Molly) Scott of Seattle, WA, Joyce Reed of Memphis, TN. Great aunt-in-laws Louise Duckworth, Seattle, WA., and Carrie April and Emma Louise of Joliet, IL, and cousin-in-law; Virgie April of Joliet, IL.
Visitation will be held on Saturday May 3, 2014 9:00-10:30 A.M. at Prayer Tower Ministries C.O.G.I.C., 500 Stryker Ave., Joliet, IL, Pastor Warren Dorris, Jr. Service at 10:30 A.M., Pastor Gary R. Williams officiating. Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery.
