Ned, Missing Cat From Joliet, Found Sunday Night

After being missing for two days, Ned wandered back into his own backyard.

On Sunday afternoon, Joliet Patch ran a story about Ned, a missing orange tabby cat from Joliet. His owner, Melissa Laurich had been looking for Ned since he went missing on Friday. At 10:15 p.m., Ned came home.

"I had just gotten home and made sure the fences were open and the food was left out," Laurich said.

The dog started barking and when they took the dog outside, there was Ned. He ran at first because he was scared, but he is safely home tonight.

"He’s fine, he looked a little skinny, so I think he was coming home to eat," Laurich said. I’m kind of in shock right now. I can’t believe he just came home."

Laurich said she had lots of phone calls from neighbors and Patch readers trying to help her find Ned and she was very grateful for all the help.
