Joliet Township High School District 204 Announces Filing Period for School Board

Nominating petition forms for the April 9, 2013, school board election in Joliet Township High School District 204 will be available beginning September 25, 2012.  Application forms can be picked up at the Superintendent’s office located at the Joliet Township High School District Administrative Center, 300 Caterpillar Drive, Joliet, Illinois, on any business day between 7:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.

 Three, four-year seats will be filled on the seven-member Board at the April 9, 2013 election.  A school board candidate’s petition must be filed in the same office no earlier than 7:15 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2012, and no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 24, 2012.  Applicants must live within the District 204 attendance area in order to be eligible. Applicants must be a United States citizen at least 18 years of age, a resident of Illinois and the District for at least one year immediately preceding the election, a registered voter and be neither a school trustee nor a school treasurer.
