How often do YOU get a chance to have fun while supporting a local organization? Here is your chance. Support Westyn’s Wish Toy Drive benefiting Advocate Hope Hospital in Oak Lawn by treating yourself to some fun at this must be a part of FUNdraising Event featuring the new “fad of fun”, a paddle party (also known as a quarter auction)! Make it a night out on the town for guys, gals, or the whole family!Donation is $5.00 or a new unwrapped toy valued at $5 or more.
What is a Paddle Party?
There will be 10 different Vendors on hand. Each vendor has created 4 Baskets/Displays of their products. Each ready for instant Holiday Gift-Giving.
With each toy donated or $5 donation you will receive a "Paddle #". At 6:30pm the "Quarter Raffle" will begin. Each participant will have a stick with their designated number(s) they received at check-in. The caller will describe the contents of what is in a specific basket. At the conclusion of the description, participants will have the option to put in for that raffle. If a Participant brings in 3 toys (valued at $5 ea) they would have the option of putting in none,1,2 or all the numbers. Each basket valued at $25 will be a 2 quarter raffle. If the participant wants to use only 2 of their numbers they would put 4 quarters in the "QUARTER CUP" they will find directly in front of them-along with the numbers they wish to use. Once the caller says final call-no additional quarters or numbers may be dropped in the cup. At that time the caller will then begin pulling #'s from a bag. Numbers will be drawn until the first "played" number is called. The person holding that number will receive the Basket or Display. If you received #'s 22, 23 & 24 for example-but play only #22 (putting in 2 quarters)-if the caller pulls 24, it will be passed on because you opted to play 22.
When you come into the event you will be able to view all 40 "Raffle" Items that will go home with lucky winners that evening. In addition, you can browse & shop with all the vendors (many with Cash & Carry on hand), before & after the raffle.
This is for a worthwhile cause. Please bring your friends out (& QUARTERS TOO) for an evening of fun. Light Appetizers will be provided. Cocktails & Soft Drinks are available for purchase in the lounge. All for a great cause, and the chance to go home with many gifts that you can mark off your Holiday list!
