Post Office Sets Sunday Hours for Holiday Needs

The McDonough Street office will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 2, 9 and 16.

The Joliet post office on McDonough Street will be open the first three Sundays of December to accommodate people sending holiday gifts via mail.

Hours will be 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 2, 9 and 16 at the main office, 2000 McDonough St. Customers can also take care of other post office needs, including purchasing stamps and processing passports.

The U.S. Postal Service recommends these dates for items to be mailed to ensure delivery by Christmas:

Dec. 10: Priority Mail International
Dec. 11: Express Mail International
Dec. 14: Parcel Post
Dec. 20: First-Class Mail
Dec. 21: Priority Mail
Dec. 22: Express Mail

Some paint being scrapped off the City Hall Hand Rails that will cut ya up.
