Police say three suspects, one of whom is still at-large, threatened the victim with a gun in order to steal his money, wallet, cell phone and iPod.

Two people have been arrested and a third is being sought in connection with an East Side armed robbery in which more than $700 cash and a wallet, cell phone and iPod were taken.

Carlos Alberto Guillen, 19, of 625 Manhattan, , a 16-year-old juvenile and a third suspect are accused of threatening a man with a handgun to steal his possessions shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday, Cmdr. Al Roeschner said.

The victim, who does not speak English, had been sitting in a parked car near Liberty Street and Parks Avenue. Through a police interpretter, he was able to describe his assailants and police spotted a group of men who matched the description a short while later at Youngs Avenue and Jackson Street, Roeschner said.

Guillen and the 16-year-old were captured, but the third suspect fled on foot before police could stop him, he said. Police recovered the cash and the victim's wallet and cell phone from Guillen and the iPod from the teen.

The pair have confessed to their role in the alleged crime, and police are seeking to arrest the third suspect, who's believed to have had the gun, Roeschner said.
