Whom do you trust with your precious pet?

Pets are part of the family, so when it's time for a trip to the groomer, it's important to know whom to trust.

Do you know a great groomer? We're relaunching Patch's Readers' Choice series, and we want to know: Who's the best dog groomer in town?

You already nominated your favorite local businesses. Now it is time to vote! You have until Aug. 17 to vote. We will announce the winner Aug. 24.

I have two shih tzus and they never looked so good until I went to the Dog Wash in Minooka. They smell SOOO good for days afterward, they enjoy going, and I love Auburn and her sister!

I don't want to badmouth anyone's business, but the staff of the Dog Wash is always friendly, helpful, and FUN. I have never felt like I was an imposition like I have at places in Joliet, and the store is clean and cheerful. I will never take my dogs to another groomer since I found them.

The groomer and staff at Caton crossing animal Hospital in Plainfield are the best!!! The dogs love her and they always look great!!! Wouldn't go anywhere else!! Also love that it is a full service animal hospital so if my pet needs vaccines or anything else it can be done at the same time as the grooming!!

I LOVE THE DOG WASH!!! Auburn and her sister are the only groomers that can do my Mr. Murphy. He can be nasty and they love him.

The Dog Wash in Minooka, without a doubt!!! They are so polite to my husband and I but more importantly they truly care about our dog!!! They really get to know your pet and do such an amazing job. I cannot say enough about them, they really are a GREAT place to go!!!

The Dog Wash in Minooka is amazing! My rat terrier Spaz, hates when I give him a bath. But when he goes to see Billie at the Dog Wash, he never gives her trouble. She is so wonderful with him and he loves to see her! I honestly feel like everyone there likes him and are happy to take care of Spaz. Can't say enough good things about them, it really is a great place to take the furry members of your family!

I called the dog wash in Minooka to make sure they would do my pit-shepard mix, alot of places won't. After being told they love pits I showed up with Dex and was told he was the cutest stinking dog ever, and the owner would love to take him home with her. She didn't muzzle him like every place else and had his nails cut and filed down in less time then it takes to pay everywhere else. The owners genuine affection for dogs will keep me coming back!

Hi this is Auburn and Billie's sister, even though I don't work at The Dog Wash, I wanted to thank everyone who voted for them. It's nice to know they have this kind of following after less than 2 years of being open. I know they do a great job with my crazy blue heeler. Thanks again.

Wow, our customers really took this seriously! We are blown away by the response, we haven't even been open two years, so this is a real vote of confidence to us! To anyone who hasn't tried us, we are open 7 days a week, offer $5.00 nail trims (no appt. needed) and offer self service grooming as well. You can stop in anytime to meet our groomers or tour the shop.

Glad you made me cut the weeds down so these gang members have a place to spray paint and walk around feeling tough doing so.
