Jamba Juice Opening Store in Joliet Mall

The chain is best known for its all-natural smoothies, juices and wheatgrass shots, but also serves some sandwich and salad options.

Joliet Jamba Juice junkies will no longer have to trek to Naperville or Orland Park to get a wheatgrass shot, Pomegranate Paradise smoothie or Orange Berry Antioxidant Juice fix.

The California-based chain will be opening its doors on a new store inside the Louis Joliet Mall on Feb. 20, a company official confirmed this week.

Mall marketing director Alysia Gordon said the Jamba Juice setup will be located in the food court, near the Earthbound Trading Co. store and close to the Cinemark Louis Joliet Mall movie theaters.

Jamba Juice, based in California, was started in 1990 by Kirk Perron, a cyclist and healthy lifestyle advocate. The focus moved more toward smoothies when it was purchased in 1999 by Zuka Juice. In the last four years, the chain -- now owned by Jamba Inc. (formerly Services Acquisitions Corp.) -- has been adding salads and sandwiches to its menu.

The chain, however, remains best known for its juices and smoothies, and the promise that nothing it serves has artificial preservatives, high-fructose corn syrup or trans fats but is heavy on antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, according to its Web site, jambajuice.com.

I adore Jamba. Living in Minooka, there are few options here. I got to Naperville almost every weekend, and visit Jamba in front of Fox Valley at least twice per month. Now that there is a Joliet Chipotle and a Jamba coming soon, I can stay closer to home!
Now if they open a Trader Joe's nearby... I may never leave the area!

Wonderful! Now I don't have to drive to Orland, or Naperville for a pomegranate paradise.

Haha, whenever I get the wheatgrass shot they say, "Happy Trails" BTW, they have a Jamba contest on Facebook. It is probably win, but I got coupons for playing the game, one was $2 for a smoothie and another was $1 for oatmeal. https://www.facebook.com/jambajuice/app_147535185398939

Maybe some new manhole lids with rubber rings to stop all the flooding of peoples houses,AndRead More actually climb down in the manhole and see if it is leaking instead of paying all of these people in Joliet getting flooded out by YOUR SANITARY System. Some paint being scrapped off the City Hall Hand Rails that will cut ya up.
