Reve Nightclub Opening at Hollywood

The casino's newest addition will be open Fridays and Saturdays only and will feature techno dance music spun by DJs, signature drinks and theme nights.

Reve means "dream" in French, and that's exactly what patrons will think they've stepped into when they enter Hollywood Casino's new Reve nightclub opening Feb. 8, senior marketing director Jill Green said.

With a black-on-black color scheme, LED-lit tables and cabana rooms shrouded in gauzy material, the space will be unlike anything else in Joliet, said Jill Green, Hollywood's senior marketing director.

"The dance floor, music, high energy -- everything's meant to create the ultimate fantasy where you can escape reality," Green said.

The new club is located on the casino's top floor, and will be open on Friday and Saturday nights for music, dancing and drinks, she said. From 5 to 9 p.m., it will be the "ultra lounge" before switching over to a dance club scene from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., with techno/electronica house music meant to draw people onto the dance floor, she said.

Most of the music will be provided by DJs, but there will also be live entertainment on occasion, Green said. Expect theme events such as "Boots and Bikinis," "Black Bra Night" and "Boogie Nights," she said.

No food will be served, but there will be a full bar and signature drinks featuring top-end liquor and names such as "Cloud Nine" and "Wet Dream." They also plan a "fresh menu" with drinks using all fresh ingredients, Green said.

"We're bringing a Chicago-type nightclub to Joliet," she said. "There's nothing like this to be found anywhere around here."

Depending on the success of the venue, more nights could be added to the schedule or the room could be used for other events, such as private parties and comedy shows, Green said.

They also hope to use it for weddings given that the casino offers entertainment, dining and hotel accommodations that would make it an easy location for family and friends to enjoy a weekend, she said.
