After a "very strong spring shopping season," some stores are expanding or relocating inside the Louis Joliet Mall, Joliet Mayor Tom Giarrante announced Tuesday.
Victoria's Secret offshoot Pink, which sells "comfy, effortlessly cool wear and accessories," according to the retailer, has been so successful that it needed to grow into a new space across from Bath & Body Works, Giarrante said. The existing Victoria's Secret store will expand into the space vacated by Pink.
Family Christian Bookstores will open up next to Sears, and Charlotte Russe is also getting additional space, said Giarrante, who did not have a timeline for the changes.
"Stores located on the mall’s perimeter say they’re doing well, too, and we’re ready to welcome Sports Authority and Fresh Thyme Markets later this year," the mayor said.
