About Two Dozen Picketed Outside Joliet Walmart

Two Joliet residents led the protest, which sought to raise awareness about the low wages of Walmart workers.

About two dozen protestors picketed outside Joliet's Walmart, 2424 W. Jefferson Street, Friday morning to raise awareness of what protest organizers called the plight of the low-paid Walmart workers.

The protest was led by Joliet wife and husband Pam and Harry Leddy, according to The Herald News. This is the second time the couple has protested on Black Friday.

Pam Leddy told The Herald News that she believes Walmart is an "unfair employer" that doesn't offer decent wages or benefits, but could do so and still make large profits.
