A Taste of Country: Saturday Music Announced for Taste of Joliet

Tickets are on sale now. More musical acts are still to be announced.

The Taste of Joliet will return to Memorial Stadium June 27-29, and the Joliet Park District has already started to announce musical acts.

This year's Saturday night lineup is country themed, featuring headliner Thompson Square, a husband and wife duo.

Also performing June 28 are Dan + Shay, recently nominated for an American Country Music Award. The band has a new album due out April 1.

Solo artist Brett Eldredge, an Illinois native whose single, "Don't Ya" hit number one on the Country Airplay chart last year, will also take the stage on June 28.

Texan Eric Paslay rounds out the country night lineup.

Fans can avoid lines by buying tickets in advance; tickets are now available on the Taste of Joliet website.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $35 for the reserved front section. Admission is free for kids age 12 and under accompanied by an adult, and $5 for seniors age 62 and older.

Carnival Mega Passes are also on sale for $50, good for unlimited rides all three days of the Taste. You can get Mega Passes online or at the front desk at Inwood Athletic Club, 3000 W. Jefferson St.

Stay tuned for info on the Friday and Sunday musical lineups, plus this year's food vendors.
