Two Stand to Collect Big Money; 1 Bought $250,000 Lottery Winning Ticket in Joliet: Report

Lottery officials report that one of the winning tickets was sold at Mickey's One Stop on Plainfield Road in Joliet.

A local lottery winner?

Well, apparently someone who bought a ticket in Joliet was one of two to win $250,000 prizes recently in the Illinois Lottery's Hit or Miss game, according to a Sun-Times News Group report.

One player won $250,000 by hitting all 12 numbers and another won $250,000 by missing all 12 numbers, according to the report. Neither one had come forward to cash in on their winnings as of Wednesday morning.

The winning tickets were sold at Mickey's One Stop, 1415 Plainfield Road, Joliet, and LaSalle Beer and Cig Dept, 211 E. Joliet St. in Ottawa, according to the Sun-Times News Group report. Both stores will receive $2,500.
