Siegel Family Thanks Residents for Supporting Local Veteran

Local farm hosted benefit to help Joliet veteran Capt. Tony Simone.

Heartfelt thanks from the Siegel Family, Crest Hill, to all the runners and spectators who showed up early morning in the rain to participate in the Siegel’s Cottonwood Farm Redneck 3K Run benefit for our local wounded warrior veteran, Air Force Captain Anthony “Tony” Simone.

It was a fun filled day and Capt. Simone and his family were appreciative of those who came out to support him and meet him. Everyone ran in the rain, played in the rain, and ate, drank and danced in the sunshine to raise funds to build Capt. Simone a home to accommodate his special needs.  Capt. Simone told usSaturday, in life there should be no ½’s; you don’t half way do something.  You do it all the way.  And these supporters did it all the way all day long.  Thank you.

Special thanks to our sponsors: D’Arcy Motors, Peter Rubi Produce, David Nelson Exquisite Jewelry, BEER NUTS, Dellwood Tires, 103.5 Kiss FM, CES Crain Rental, Angelo’s Firestone, Restore – Habitat for Humanity, Homes for our Troops, Prairie Materials, The Crowd Around Me, Paulie’s Pub, Double J Sports Bar, Keglers Sports Bar and Grill, Chaoz Sports Lounge, Crest Hill Chamber, Lumber Zach’s Tree Service, Statesville Haunted Prison, and staff of Siegel’s Cottonwood Farm.
