Joliet Slammers Host Poster Contest

Deadline to enter is 4 p.m. March 28.

The Joliet Slammers are inviting kids ages 12 and under to enter a poster contest to have their artwork displayed at Silver Cross Field this season.

Entries will be divided into several age group: 4 and younger, ages 5-8 and ages 9-12, with two divisions — hand drawn (crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc) and computer generated — for each category.

The following winners will be chosen in each age group:

  • 1 Grand Prize winner from all entries will have their artwork displayed on a 3’x5’ poster on the Silver Cross Field concourse
  • 1 First Prize winner from all entries will have their artwork in the Slammers program
  • 1 Second Prize winner from all entries will have their artwork used as a video board advertisement.
Each division will have a consolation winner from each age group. Consolation winners will get four tickets to opening night on Friday, May 16 and will have their artwork displayed at the "Clink" team store window during the game.

To enter:
  • All entries should be made on a horizontal sheet of 8 ½ x 11 of white paper or comparable size if creating a computer generated design.
  • The theme for all entries should be #SLAMMERTIME and should include #SLAMMERTIME somewhere in the design.
  • Entries should be emailed as attachments to hmills@jolietslammers.com, mailed to Joliet Slammers 1 Mayor Art Schultz Dr. Joliet IL 60432 Attn: Poster Contest, OR dropped off at Silver Cross Field Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM and the following MUST be included or the submission will not be considered for one of the prizes: child’s full name, child’s age, parent’s full name, parent’s address, parent’s phone number, parent’s email address.
  • Entries must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.
  • By submitting an entry, you agree to the rules of the contest.
