Senator Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant is excited to announce a Senior workshop scheduled for this coming Saturday, September 10, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Willow Falls Assisted Living Facility (1681 Willow Circle Drive, Crest Hill). The workshop will provide a unique opportunity for seniors to learn about ways to protect themselves from financial scams and healthcare fraud with the Attorney General’s Silver Beats program.
Immediately after, Senator Bertino-Tarrant will be partnering with Representative Natalie Manley and AT&T to provide information to the senior community on how they can best use wireless devices and new technology to improve their lives.
“Keeping seniors connected to the ones they love through technology is vital to their overall happiness,” Senator Bertino-Tarrant said. “Giving them ways to stay united to family and friends, as well as keep themselves safe, can greatly improve their quality of life.”
