Want to Meet Santa? He's Making Several Joliet Appearances

Check out these events at which good old St. Nick will be on hand to meet with children and have photos taken.

Want to see Santa? Here are a few places he'll be in the coming weeks:

P.J.'s and Parkas

The community event, part of Scholastic Books' Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive, is being held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 13, Aux Sable Middle School, 2001 Wildspring Parkway, Joliet.

It features winter book fair, a bake sale, hot chocolate and apple cider, door prizes, raffles, book giveaways, and performances and guest readings of classic and holiday children's books. Santa Claus will be available for photos from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Guests are asked to donate a new set of pajamas, a new children’s book or a new or gently used coat, all of which will benefit District 202-area children and families in need in conjunction with Scholastic.

Stories with Santa

Santa will be reading seasonal stories and will meet with children from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 17 and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Joliet Public Library Black Road Branch, 3395 Black Road. The event is open to all ages and photos can be taken. This event is co-sponsored by the Will County Reading Council.

Santa & Rudolph

Santa and his helpers, joined by Rudolph, will be on hand from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 7, 8, 13, 15, 21, 22 and 23 at the Joliet Park District's Inwood Golf Club, 3200 W. Jefferson St. In addition to meeting St. Nick, guests can enter coloring contests, make crafts, take a sucker from the holiday tree and watch holiday movies.
