Your explanation of Jesus' response to being called good is not logical. For Jesus, in that sameRead Morest atement also expressed that NONE IS GOOD EXCEPT GOD IN HEAVEN. Please read the whole chapter.

Jesus never said he was God. Nowhere in the bible do you find any statement that says JESUS ISRead MoreGOD, but you will find several statement, including from the mouth of Jesus, that says: JESUS IS PROPHET (which you seem to be acknowledging). Remember, before he called out to his G'd, Jesus also had prayed to his G'd for he trial of the cross to by pass him.

Also you said that the <<< but they had always worshipped God, whom they thought theyRead Moreknew, in vain. Jesus was not their idea of who God should be, so they rejected Him. Get some rest now.>>> You are ignoring what Jesus actually said. He did not say in vain you worship G'd. He said IN VAIN YOU WORSHIP ME. So if they worshipped the G'd that Jesus prayed to, if they worshipped the G'd that Jesus cried out to, if they worshipped the same 'd that Jesus worshipped and prayed to the same G'd that Jesus prayed to--then they would not have been wrong.
