JOLIET, Ill. – All 15 players scored, led by a trio of Saints with 16 points apiece, as the University of St. Francis men's basketball team routed Purdue University North Central 109-64 in the opening round of the 2013 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Monday night at the Sullivan Center. | Box Score

The victory sends the Saints (20-11) into the conference tournament quarterfinals against Olivet Nazarene University Wednesday night at USF beginning at 7 p.m. The Tigers got past Calumet College of St. Joseph 72-64 in other tournament action Monday night.

Senior Billy Hubly (Elk Grove, Ill./ Elk Grove), junior Andrew Lerg (DeWitt, Mich./ DeWitt) and sophomore Chris Miller (Rockford, Ill./ Boylan Catholic) shared team-high scoring honors for the Saints with 16 points. Hubly and Lerg each buried three 3-point baskets.

Sophomore Jaylen Thompson (Plainfield, Ill./ Plainfield East) blocked five shots, the most by a Saint in 2012-13, in addition to contributing eight points and six rebounds off the bench.

Fourteen of the 15 Saints grabbed at least one rebound and 11 dished out one or more assists in a game USF never trailed. The hosts led 55-31 at the intermission and held at least a 40-point advantage for the game's final six minutes.

USF outshot the Panthers (6-25) 51% to 36% and held a 48-27 edge on the boards en route to defeating Purdue North Central for the third time in as many matchups this season.

Terrell John tallied a game-high 17 points for the Panthers, while Kewon Ollie netted 13 to go along with five assists.

The Saints' 109 points matched their largest output since they netted the same total in a triple-overtime victory at Saint Xavier University on Dec. 22, 2010.

USF notched a 20-win campaign for the 10th time in school history and for the second time in three years under Head Coach John Baines.
