The Joliet Slammers, presented by ATI Physical Therapy, are excited to announce Ground “Dog” Day at Silver Cross Field.
“Every dog has his day and this is Spikes’ chance to determine how our fans save money,” General Manager Chris Franklin said. “The great thing about Ground “Dog” Day is that even if we have six more weeks of winter, our fans still benefit thanks to Spikes.”
On Saturday, February 2, the Slammers’ lovable mascot “Spikes” will venture out to the green grass of the infield. If he sees his shadow, that means there are six more weeks of winter. If he does not see his shadow, that means spring is right around the corner!
Either way, the Slammers are offering special ticket deals starting on Ground “Dog” Day and running through Friday, February 15.
If Spikes sees his shadow, the Slammers are offering a free Slammers winter hat for every two Fireworks Pack mini plans purchased. With Fireworks Packs, fans can lock in their seats to 11 fireworks nights, including Opening Night and the 4th of July! Each Fireworks Pack mini plan costs $99 and saves fans two dollars off per ticket per game. Plus, any unused tickets can be exchanged for tickets to any other game of the 2013 season.
If Spikes does not see his shadow, the Slammers are offering $5.00 in Slammers Loot for every Fireworks Pack mini plan purchased. Slammers loot can be used to purchase anything in the ballpark, from food to merchandise!
