Yes, he "earned it" legally.....however, it IS perfectly legal to put up $18,000,000 of your own and investor money, borrow an additional $305,000,000 to buy KB Toys using the assets of KB Toys to secure the loans, and NOT be personally liable for the $305,000,000 loaned money, using the income from KB Toys to pay back the loans, (tax deductable, of course,), recapitilize KB Toys to pay yourself and your investors a "special" dividend of $85,000,000, (pretty good return on $18,000,000 invested of your own money), and then bankrupting KB Toys. Keep in mind, "corporations are people my friend", a separate legal entity, so the nice profits get to kept free and clear, taxed at a flat 15% of course, minus any deductions and credits to offset any tax liabilities. Love to "earn" money like that!!

It's obvious that you didn't fact check, but why should it be a matter of public record what his grades were at Occidental, Columbia, or Harvard? W did not release his transcripts. They were, however leaked. Reagan said that if anyone knew how poorly he performed in school, he would have never been elected. By not releasing his transcripts, Obama is not setting any new precedent.

His Selective Service Registration has not been released by the Selective Service System because no one's is available to the public. If you asked me to produce my registration, I couldn't because it was destroyed in the wash several years ago. Seriously? Does anyone hold onto theirs after the age of 35?

Because past Presidents did something wrong does not excuse the current Commander in Chief and automatically make it OK to do it again. When you are hired by a company/corporation you are required to show them your history, both academic and employment along with any arrest or criminal record you may or may not have. WHY DOES THE APPLICATION FOR THE MOST POWERFUL POSOTION IN THE FREE WORL NOT REQUIER THE SAME? Politicians are not hired; they're elected. The requirements for President are in the Constitution. Perhaps the requirements are a bit thin, but it is the electorate that decides our office holders. You might not like the election process, but it's served us fairly well for over 200 years.

I guess I trust the integrity of fine institutions like Columbia and Harvard not to conspire to falsify Obama's qualifications. I trust that the bar licensing agency issued Obama an exam, which he passed. Passing the bar (not an easy task) enabled him to practice law. According to an L.A. Times article, he worked primarily as a writer and researcher for Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Gallard. He did not try any cases and worked there for four years before entering politics. I also assume that the University of Chicago found legitimacy in his credentials, which is why they hired him.

As for his voting record, he missed 24% as a U.S. Senator (much higher than avg.) His avg. was stellar before choosing to run for President. As a state legislator, he often criticized for always voting "present," which he did so 3% of the time.

Cathy - if you think by voting for a republican it will eliminate the nonsense you are mistaken. The democrats and republicans are both responsible for the shape this country is in. The two party system is based on a system of bribery. The same lobbyists will be at both conventions paying off both parties so no matter who wins they will still get what they want. If you or I did that in the private sector, we'd be in jail. The hypocrisy is unbelievable in this country.

The downfall of this country today is the polarization of the two political parties. John...your mention of O's plan to limit guns is more timely than you might know. I have "heard" from sources that *could* know that the entire plan with the recent gun fiasco in Mexico was to create a situation in which the government could point to all the illegal traffic in guns in a further effort to ban them. Now, that plan sounds so silly that it is a bit hard to believe...but is it? Holder is stuck with trying to keep the "real plan" from going public.
