St. Mark's Back-to-School Fest Set for This Saturday

The event, which was last held in 2008, will feature free hot dogs, school supplies and games as well as other food and activities.

 

St. Mark Christian Methodist Episcopal Church's "Back to School" Community Fest, which had been an annual Joliet event until 2008, will be staging a return Saturday.

The event, expected to attract anywhere from 500 to 1,000 people, will be held from noon to 6 p.m. in the 300 block of Joliet Street, according to a story in the Joliet Herald-News.

Free hot dogs, school supplies and games with prizes will be among the highlights, the story said. Food will also be sold and vendors will be manning displays.
