Joliet Catholic Academy's Anthony McInerney outpolled two others in voting for Joliet Patch's MVP, Feb. 4-10. He is now eligible for Athlete of the Month honors.

Joliet West freshman Taylor Bailey showed her mettle by earning a medal at the IHSA state bowling tournament. Bailey averaged 212.3 for 12 games and finished with a pinfall total of 2,547, good for 12th place. She finished with games of 242 and 245. Credit Joliet West High School

Joliet Central's Sharod Wilson edged Lincoln-Way Central's Brendan Ditchman 3-2 in the third-place match in the 182-pound class at the Class 3A Moline Sectional. Wilson next will be wrestling in the IHSA state tournament. Credit Joliet Central High School
