UPDATE: JCA's Tyler Reitz is Patch MVP

Joliet Catholic Academy running back Tyler Reitz put on a show in the Hilltoppers' win over Robeson. He narrowly edged two others in fan balloting for Patch MVP, Aug. 26-Sept. 1. Reitz is now eligible for Patch Athlete of the Month honors.

In voting for Joliet Patch's MVP for Aug. 26-Sept. 1, who gets the biggest roar from the crowd?
Joliet Central senior outside hitter T'ara Austin had nine kills and four aces in a 25-15, 25-17 victory over East Aurora. She has racked up 109 kills, 61 digs and 36 service points so far this season.
Joliet Catholic Academy's Tyler Reitz combined for 230 yards rushing and receiving and scored three touchdowns in a 34-26 football victory over Chicago Robeson. He took the lead role for the Hilltoppers with teammate Ty Isaac sidelined because of an injury.
Joliet West's Korey Rogers flashed his game-breaking capabilities in the Tigers' 31-27 loss to Plainfield South. He scored touchdowns on runs of 1 yard and 76 yards.

Tyler Reitz is your MVP this week, look at his stats, and he did this all while Ty Issac is out with an injury. Combined 200 yards and 3 TD's sounds like MVP material to me.

Tyler Reitz deserves a lot of credit- he played well last season but was overshadowed by Malin and Issac.... He has definitely stepped up and showed that he has what it takes

Congrats goes out to Tyler Reitz .. He's a great kid and a tough back. Love his style of running. If you dare stand in front of him he'll lower that shoulder and steamroll you. I've seen the kid pancake quite a few would be tacklers. Keep up the great work Reitz.
