UPDATE: JCA's Alex Blotnik is Patch MVP

Joliet Catholic Academy cross country standout Alex Blotnik outpolled two others in voting for Joliet Patch's MVP, Oct. 15-21. Blotnik is now eligible for Patch Athlete of the Month honors.

Joliet West senior Hugo Hernandez placed eighth in the Class 3A Minooka Regional. He was clocked in 15:52 for three miles at Channahon Community Park.

Joliet Central junior Salvador Lazaro placed fourth in the Class 3A Minooka Regional at Channahon Community Park. He was clocked in 15:44. Lazaro led Joliet Central to a fifth-place finish with a team total of 127 points.
