Joliet Central's Chavon Banks Voted Patch MVP

Joliet Central's Chavon Banks outpolled two others in Joliet Patch MVP voting, Nov. 12-18. She is now eligible for Patch Athlete of the Month honors.

Joliet Central's Chavon Banks averaged a double-double (11 points and 11 rebounds) in Steelmen games vs. Rockford Guilford and Plainfield Central at the Romeoville Tournament.

Joliet Catholic Academy's Ty Isaac rushed for 277 yards on 30 carries and scored three touchdowns in the Hilltoppers 40-37 loss to Montini in the Class 5A football semifinals. Isaac finished his career as JCA's all-time leading rusher with 5,315 yards. He surpassed the previous record holder, J.R. Zwierzynski, in his final game with the Hilltoppers. Zwierzynski rushed for 5,070 yards from 1998 to 2001.

Joliet West's Janae Rowe scored 12 points and pulled down six rebounds in the Tigers' 49-33 girls basketball victory over Rich Central.
