Dirt Biker Critically Injured in Crash Monday
Police say the man struck a curb, which caused him to fall and hit his head on the pavement.
A 24-year-old Joliet man is in critical condition following a Monday night dirt bike accident near Essington and Fiday roads.
Joliet Police Chief Mike Trafton said the driver was on Timberview Drive, heading north toward Fiday, when he struck the curb shortly before 10 p.m. and crashed.
The victim sustained "serious head truama" when he struck the pavement, requiring him to undergo surgery at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Trafton said. It's not known what caused him to drive into the curb, he said.

if he would of been riding on its intended use (dirt) or had a helmet since he had to ride on the raod maybe he would be fine. got up brushed the dirt off and kept riding. but no, people are stupid...that is why there are warnings and intended uses labeled on everything.....just one more that didn't think!

Steve I don't think your comment is nessesary nor does it serve a purpose. You should have just refrained from commenting. That person is suffering along with family and friends and I believe I would have been more appropriate to keep opinions to yourself. May you never have to experience what he has been going through. Shame on you.

Infamous Steve reality and truth sucks for people don't ya know that, people do not like to hear common sense,it's everyone else's fault no the individual...what steve is saying to you all is correct, through people's actions causes more restrictions on us,more labels, more of you are now not allowed to do this...kind of stuff...No one likes to hear it, and call it unnecessary when they hear the truth, like could go without saying, but sometimes it does need to be said,....no to many people have the act of self responsibility down,...it always could of been prevented in some way or another cause it's others faults,..more people will come out and say the one thing that just Pis..s me off..." we need more laws, harsher laws to prevent this from happening"....When it does no good.

Well stated Friend. Infamous always feels the need to educate all of us "stupid people". This young man is fighting for his life, and Steve wants to let him know that if he read the sticker on his dirt bike none of this would have happened. Deep thoughts from the famous "infamous". My prayers and thoughts with the family and this young man for a full recovery.
And Steve, if you're going to educate us with your superior knowledge of life, and how we should have done something, please learn proper grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.
