Motel Manager Busted for Groping Teen, Cops Say
Amrut Patel, charged with criminal sexual abuse, also allegedly exposed himself to the 15-year-old girl, according to the Joliet police.
The manager of the Star Inn Motel in Joliet has been arrested for allegedly exposing himself and groping a 15-year-old girl who was staying at the Jefferson Street business.
Patel B. Amrut, 50, who lives at the 2219 W. Jefferson St. motel, was arrested Friday and charged with criminal sexual abuse with force in connection with the incident that occurred in June, Joliet police Cmdr. Brian Benton said.
The victim told police that Amrut exposed his genitals to her and fondled her breasts in the motel office, Benton said.
Both she and Patel were interviewed at the time, and the case was referred to the Will County State's Attorney's Office, he said. Charges were filed last week and Patel arrested on Friday.
Patel was released from the Will County jail over the weekend after posting 10 percent of his $30,000 bond.

The city needs to buy that dump of a motel and get rid of it. Its nothing but a haven for drug dealers and prostitutes. Take a lesson from Romeoville, they bought Crazy Rock now that dump is gone for good.

Then the next thing you know their trying to buy your business and shut it down...kind of like they do here in Joliet.They condemn your house,buy it,fix it up and sell it.once allowed to do this they continue it until someone with a lot of money to fight back takes them to court...they will start finding reasons to close businesses to take them over.

10 percent of his bond = $3,000 and I saw a guy in Will county get busted for 2oz of marijuana and had his bail set at $150,000.....I saw a man pay $300 for domestic battery bail out went home and killed his wife with a hammer the Lockport police shot the man at his moms house....And we are supposed to trust the system....lmao yeah right...Judges and Lawyers filling politicians needs is what the system is....GFY
