Lil' Ed Brings Out Crowd to Rooftop Concert at the Joliet Area Historical Museum
The second in a series of four concerts brought out nearly 200 people.
It was a beautiful summer night when Lil' Ed and the Blues Imperials took the stage at the Joliet Area Historical Museum. And maybe that contributed to the 194 people who bought tickets to the concert.
The show was the second in a series of four that are part of The Rooftop Summer Music Series. Although the series is not a fundraiser, the proceeds from the series goes to the museum's education department and exhibits.
Mike Brick, Joliet Area Historical Museum Development Director, said the educational programs include field trips, kids programming events and the JAHM booth at KidzFest.
The rooftop series also helps to keep the light up the holidays event free.
The remaining two rooftop concerts are on Aug. 9 and Sept. 13. Shindig a 60s-themed band, plays Aug. 9. Nova Soul Quartet, a jazz/funk/dance band plays Sept. 13.
