Joliet photographer John Parli is recognizing Joliet Patch's Athlete of the Month each month with a portrait such as the one above of Joliet Catholic Academy football standout Mike Ivlow.

Parli will present a fine-art print to Ivlow as a keepsake to mark the occasion.

Ivlow, a junior fullback who helped JCA reach the Class 5A semifinals, was selected as Joliet Patch's Athlete of the Month for November from a list of weekly winners by Patch Sports Editor Ron Kremer.

The other weekly winners in fan voting for November Patch MVP honors were Mike Brandolino (Joliet West bowling) and Chavon Banks (Joliet Central girls basketball).
