My thoughts & prayers go out to Alisha & Ava's family. She was a very sweet young lady taken from us too soon. I knew her from the Shorewood Home Depot. My last conversation with her was about how excited she was to become a mom. There are no words to describe how heavt my heart has been since I found out about this awful tragidy. She will always be remembered in my heart & I will forever remember her beautiful smile.

What kind of man could do this?

This is so heartbreaking. I used to live in Plainfield and really loved the community. I do not know Alisha or her family - but their pain must be unimaginable! Bless her & baby Ava always! @Kathy S - yes, Alisha has a beautiful smile. May she rest in peace.

There just are no words. Two innocent lives taken because if one man's selfish and horrid act. Beyond sad for what Alisha & sweet baby girl Ava went thru....God bless you and hold you close Alisha & Ava & hold tight all your family and friends as they live out this nightmare. This is so terribly tragic. The only good that came from this man's act is that both mother and child will never have to live a day without each other. So sad.

Heard his mom hired a defense attorney for him, and has visited him. She's as evil as him, as she should convince him to own up to what he did, as it sounds like he confessed to waking her up and strangling her, then had sexual intercourse with her body. Obviously his mom is as dilusional as him.. if I were related to him, I would disown him for what he did, as there is no probable excuse. He is simply an evil, evil monster.
