Hospice Offering Holiday-Support Grief Program

WHAT:  H.O.P.E. “Heart Opens – Peace Enters” for the Holidays is a special grief support group intended to help those who are coping with the loss of a loved one, specifically children. This grief support group will be split into two age groups: one for adults and guardians and the other for children ages 7 through 13. Through structured activities, children will learn how to deal constructively with feelings of loss while parents and guardians will learn how to effectively support children as they journey through their grief.  

WHO:  Hosted by VITAS Innovative Hospice Care of Chicagoland South, conducted by a VITAS social worker, chaplain and music therapist

WHERE:  VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, 3033 West Jefferson Street, Suite 204, Joliet, IL 60435

WHEN:  Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
