Annie C. Hollins
Annie was born April 15, 1935, in Mesic, N.C., to Ella Hines Credle and Preston Charlie Credle. She went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Annie was educated in the North Carolina School System. She accepted Christ at an early age and served the Lord faithfully at Ridgewood Baptist Church in Joliet, Illinois, until her health began to fail.
Annie was preceded in death by her mother, Ella Hines Credle, her father, Preston Charlie Credle, her son, James Albert Heath, III, her beloved stepmother, Freddie H. Credle and her grandson, Malcolm Tramel.
Annie leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 43 years, James Hollins, Sr., three stepchildren, Jackie (Skip) Lee, Debra (Errie) Perrie and James Hollins, Jr., her brother, Rufus (Peggy) Credle, Sr., of Upper Marlboro, MD, her sister, Gloria (William) Pearsall of Greenville, NC, five grandsons, Christopher Brown of Joliet, IL, Michael Lee of Atlanta, Antoine Hollins, Ellis Hollins and Shaun Hollins of Macon, GA, six granddaughters, Tracy Tramel of Joliet, IL, Rachel Peeler of Joliet, IL, Alexis Lee of Atlanta, GA, Tatianna and Cetera Heath, both of Kansas City, MO, Shawntae Hollins of Macon, GA, special nephews, Rufus (Peggy) Credle, Jr., Pastor Ira (Sharron) Credle, Joseph (Yolonda) Credle, Kimball (Marcia) Credle and Marvin (Pam) Credle, a host of other nephews, nieces, grandchildren and very special friends.
Visitation Friday, February 22, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday, February 23, 2013 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Ridgewood Baptist Church, 1968 Hillcrest Road, Joliet, IL. Service at 1:00 p.m., Pastor David Jaspers, officiating. Interment Monday, February 25, 2013 10:00 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
