Alice Jones

Born July 20, 1940 to Shady and Genie McDonald.  She went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2013.  She accepted Christ at an early age at the Union Baptist church in Heidelberg, MS.  She was united in holy matrimony to Rufus Jones in 1961, and to this union four children were born.

She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted husband, Rufus Jones Sr., daughters, Lillian Carr, Regina Jones and sons,  Earnest Jones, Rufus Jones Jr. (Lafaye), 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of  family and friends.

Visitation Tuesday, January 22, 2013 10-12 noon at Second Avenue Apostolic Church, 615 Second Ave., Joliet, IL, Eld. Frank Wallace, pastor.  Service at 12 noon, Bishop Clord Jordan, officiating.  Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery.
